Interested in Coaching?

We are always looking for coaches to join UWAVC! It is a great way to give back to the sport! All coaches who play at UWAVC receive a free club membership for the season. The club will also reimburse any costs associated with obtaining VWA coaching qualifications.

We value coach professional development and have supported previous UWAVC coaches who are now coaching professional volleyball internationally. There are ongoing development courses held internally with experienced senior coaches.

Looking to Referee?

Referees are essential in volleyball competitions as they ensure the rules of the game are upheld and that the matches are played fairly. They make critical decisions regarding faults, points, and player conduct, which directly impact the outcome of the game.

Their authority helps maintain order on the court, allowing players to focus on their performance without distractions. They contribute to the integrity of the sport by promoting sportsmanship and providing a structured environment for competition.

All players are encouraged to obtain their Level 1 Referee Qualification at minimum as WAVL teams referee or “duty” games. UWAVC offers to reimburse 50% of qualification costs and additional compensation is available per WAVL game.
