How To Play For UWA Volleyball Club as a Junior/Highschool student

If you would like to play Social Drop-in volleyball see here.

PLEASE NOTE: Nearly all Junior teams are run through schools. If there are no school teams available or you would like to play in the Adult league (there are no age limits), see our “How to Play for UWAVC in WAVL” page.

Otherwise, if you would like to play for a team that UWA Volleyball Club enters into WAVJL (Junior League), just follow these steps:

  1. Follow our Facebook and Instagram pages for updates. (RECOMMENDED)

  2. If you are in one of affiliated schools (currently Perth Modern and Christ Church Grammar), gather enough players for a team and talk to your Phys Ed department.

    1. Then, choose which division to play in: Grade 7/8, Grade 9/10 or Grade 11/12.

  3. If you are not in one of our affiliated schools there are two options:

    1. If there is enough interest, we can see if our club and your high school can become affiliated. (We will have to do some organizing with the school.)

    2. If not, let us know you’d like to play for a team, and we can try to place you in a team. (Sometimes, with our limited resources, this is not possible, sorry.)

  4. Purchase a Volleyball WA Platinum Membership (this allows you to play in WAVL).

  5. Pay UWAVC fees for the season (this includes two training sessions a week, coaching, game fees, and team registration costs).

  6. Enjoy the season!
